(Philippines , Iran and Pakistan)
Laos who were given an absolute drubbing on Tuesday and whose game-end bench looked like a scene from Casualty, showed admirable resolve and no little pride in picking themselves up and making Pakistan fight to the very last minute for their 7-0 win last night.
The evening’s opening game had seen the Philippines take on Iran. Both teams had won their opening fixtures and the general pre-match view was that there wouldn’t be much in it. That prediction was to prove accurate, for the first period at least.

Philippines cruise to win,
whilst Iran win war of attrition over Pakistan
International School Manila provided the perfect setting for two very different opening games in the 2009 Asian Under 20 Division 2 Tournament.
First up were home team the Philippines, who have blended schoolboys from three international schools, local Filipinos and overseas based players of Philippine heritage, up against Laos, who have an entirely home-bred team.

• Focus of Div 2 is development. 1st tournament for Iran and Laos Junior teams. Pakistan last played in a Junior Championship in 2005 when they were hosts. Philippines were the host of Division 2 last year in a two team tournament with Guam.
