China women pip hosts to Vegas crown

Rugby World Cup women's Sevens Bowl winners China overcame the hosts USA at the Sam Boyd Stadium to win the first Women's International Invitational final to be played in Las Vegas.
China scored early in the first half when Zhao Xin Qi broke free from the defence and touched down for a try and the lead was stretched by Guon Qi Shi before the half.
The hosts came close to scoring at the end of the match but the Chinese defence held firm to clinch a 10-0 victory.
Women's Sevens is currently growing apace following the successful first Rugby World Cup Sevens in 2009 and the decision to admit men's and women's Sevens into the Olympic Games from 2016.
The USA White Team had kicked off pool action on day one with a 19-12 victory against the Chinese and they then beat Germany 29-12 and the Canadian National University side 15-7 before again beating the Canadians in the semis to announce themselves as favourites, but on day two the Chinese came good.
