Tabriz men take gold at the Iranian Olympiad rugby event

The final was between tabriz and shirez both team with best 7s  player in the nation both team fought hard and it was a close game at full time both had scored one converted try each and the score was 7 to 7 , in extra time tabriz scored again to seal the game 12-7

the third fourth place playoff was a very tightly fought match between Tehran and Khuzestan even after the 2nd extra time the teams remained even and the tournmant marshal dicided to give them both the bronze medel
 
Closing ceremony held with Eng.Hossein Sadegh Abedin President of Iran Rugby Federation & Mr.Sangine the General Secretary sport of Khuzestan sport organization  gave out awards and medals to the teams .

the  Rugby women's 7's competition will be start from Wednesday 27th Jan- 29th Jan 2010 with 13 teams in 4 pools .

Iran Annual Olympiad includes Men's and women's Rugby 7s

Iran Olympiad Iranian championship started from yesterday. This year Rugby
7's has been included in this multi sport event for Men's and Women's
field.. The Men's championship started from 24th Jan 2010 in Ahvaz city,
south west Iran  in Khuzestan province and will be continued till 26th Jan
2010 with 13 participated teams in 4 pools

 Results of the first day of this tournament:

At the end of the day two teams from each pool moved forward into the next
stage
Pool 1  Tabriz and Ardebil
pool 2  Shiraz and Kerman
pool 3  Khorasan Razavi and Khuzestan
pool 4 Tehran and Mazandaran
