Hirotoki Onozawa scored his second hat-trick of this year’s HSBC Asian Five Nations (HSBC A5N) to help Japan to a 52-8 victory over South Korea at Seongnam Stadium on Saturday.

The United Arab Emirates escaped a frenzied assault from Kazakhstan in the second half to win today’s HSBC Asian 5 Nations (HSBC A5N) Top 5 battle in Dubai 46-31.

After trailing 29-nil at the half, Kazakhstan posted 31 points in the second half to close the gap to 10 points in the final 10 minutes before UAE dashed their hopes of an inspirational comeback.

The last remaining unbeaten teams in this year’s HSBC Asian 5 Nations Top 5 will face off tomorrow as South Korea hosts Japan at Seongnam Stadium in Seoul (kick-off at 13.00 local time).

Tomorrow’s match promises to be another thriller in this long-standing rivalry between Asia’s traditional rugby powerhouses.

Teen wing Yoshikazu Fujita scored an HSBC A5N Top 5 record six tries on debut and fullback Ayumu Goromaru had another 30-point day as Japan hammered the United Arab Emirates 106-3 at Fukuoka’s Level-5 Stadium.

South Korea marked its return to the elite Top 5 competition of the HSBC Asian 5 Nations in sensational style with a late try to edge Hong Kong 21-19 at Hong Kong Football Club.In today’s other match the Japanese juggernaut rolled over UAE 106-3 in Fukuoka.


This game marks the second round of 2012’s HSBC Asian 5 Nations Top 5 division and will be played this Saturday May 5th at 18:00 (13:00 UAE time) at Fukuoka’s Level 5 Stadium in Japan.
